The upcoming SuitePOS Release 3.5 focuses on adding new features and rounding out some existing features. Here are just some of the highlights coming:
Groundwork for our Canadian and Australian Editions
We are laying the foundations for upcoming releases of SuitePOS that are localized for the Canadian and Australian markets. Taxation, date formats and other things are being addressed behind the scenes and will rollout over the next few major releases. Once we have completed these features, these new editions will be made generally available.
Integration to Stripe
For several years our app has been integrated to Square. Square has been a cornerstone of our strategy because with Square our customers get rate transparency, speed and ease of setup. This bodes well with our in-store simplicity mantra. In addition to Square, we are now offer integration to Stripe. With Stripe, customers now have another popular payment processing option.
Scan/Search Products by Additional Codes
This means retailers that receive pre-barcoded inventory (which can change) can now search using this new item level field which can contain all code variants.
On Demand Customer Search (NetSuite Only)
Some of our customers have very large customer counts (above 250k). This means full syncs (during upgrades or initial installs) might take a bit longer than expected. In order to reduce the time (potentially to zero) customers can now be searched and pulled directly from NetSuite versus locally at the terminal.
Scale Integration
We have now integrated with Star's mCollection line of NTEP certified scales. This means the item can be rung up, weighed and the quantity (weight) and totals are automatically populated.
Allow quantity > 1 for lot numbered items
You can now scan a lot item once and then edit the quantity (versus entering one at a time). This is useful for retailers that sell products by the lot - eg. wineries.
No Tip Option
You now have a button for "No Tip". This is in addition to setting the tip amount to zero.
Ability to report on transactions where a whole order discount was used
You can now track the success of a whole order promotion by searching the transactions, at the backend, based off the whole order promo that was used.
