A multi-million dollar 4-day Barn Sale and SuitePOS for NetSuite, what could go wrong? Apparently Nothing!
MacKenzie-Childs is an omni-channel retailer and manufacturer of home decor. In addition to their year round retail stores, MacKenzie-Childs runs a large Barn Sale that focuses on discerning professional families by offering fun and unique home decor and collectables. The event runs over 4 days and has grown significantly over the years.
Barn Sales are important to MacKenzie-Childs due to branding and the many millions of dollars that are transacted in a very short time period. This sort of environment can place a lot of burden on any retail system.
Having tried NetSuite’s SuiteCommerce InStore (SCIS), and quickly realizing it would not meet the performance and reliability requirements, MacKenzie-Childs turned to SuitePOS because of its strong reputation with higher volume environments and the level of integration offered.
Unlike prior POS implementations Mackenzie-Childs had conducted, setup of SuitePOS was a breeze and happened within a month. During initial training, the excitement of the MacKenzie-Childs retail team was palpable with lots of positive feedback.
